Child Abuse
Anyone can beat their child, but very few can actually help stop it. Be one of those people and help save the children of the world. Thousands of kids get beaten every day and many of them die. Get in contact with those you know and come together to help out the associations for child abuse. Help save the children of tomorrow.
Every 10 minutes, all around the world, a girl dies from violence. Is this really how we live? 1 of 3 girls and 1 of 5 boys are sexually abused by 18 years of age. 90% of the children abused know the abuser in some way and 68% are abused by someone in the family and 80% of child maltreatment fatalities involve at least one parent. “Four children die in the US every day because of violence or abuse.”
I do not know how to argue for the other side because this is just such a terrible thing to do to someone. If I had to think of something to help me argue I would probably say that people do this because they have been treated like this. It doesn’t mean that it is right but if I were to be treated like that and that is all I knew, I’d follow in my parents footsteps like children are supposed to do and take after them. Some effects on the body and brain after a traumatic experience like this are, alcoholism, risk for intimate partner violence, drug abuse, smoking and drinking at an early age, depression leading to suicide, multiple sexual partners. Those are more of the effects on the brain, here are some on the body especially for the fertilization aspect. Early sexual activity, sexually transmitted diseases, adolescent pregnancies, unintended pregnancies and fetal death.
