Charter vs. Private Schools It is important for every child to get a good education. When they grow older and have to get a job or further their education in college, a good basic education is key. There are three types of schools that most children attend if they are not homeschooled: private, public, and charter schools. Some people disagree that charter schools are good, but when choosing a school, charter schools are a great choice because they offer a good education and they give more freedom to teachers and students. Some people may ask what are charter schools? Well, a charter school is “a tax-supported school established by a charter between a granting body (as a school board) and an outside group (as of teachers and parents) which operates the school without most local and state educational regulations so as to achieve set goals (“Charter Schools”).” Charter schools combine public and private schools together. They use public school curriculum but are in the setting like private schools.
