Bucket List Essay

I have had many different “Bucket Lists” in my life, but within each one is a common purpose; to accomplish things that make me feel fulfillment and joy when it comes to how I live my life and the goals I set. I remember one of the first bucket lists I ever made was a list of ideals I wanted to have as a person and in a family. It contained items such as get married to my best friend in my church’s temple, have three children, and be the best me I can be. These are all still valid goals, but as I have grown, the extremities of my bucket list has grown as well. I have many more challenging and adventurous goals on my list now. For example, I am currently working on graduating high school this next year as valedictorian and with my Associate’s Degree. I have always loves school and learning so becoming valedictorian has been a dream for me since I got my first homework assignment in elementary school, but this year, with the funding from the state, I have been able to take many college classes and I will be graduating high school with my Associate’s Degree if everything goes to plan. Going through all this hard work has been an incredible experience and I have learned so much not only in the classes I am taking, but about myself, work ethic, time management, and how to get through rough and hard things. I am growing into the person I want to become because of this goal that I am working to achieve from my bucket list. I also want to go to State again next year with my softball team, but I hope to be District Champions first. That would be surreal. I also want to travel to Emerald Lake, Canada with my best friend after graduation because it looks beautiful there and I want to have one last hoorah with her before we head off to college.
