Six years after the 1997 handgun ban in Britain, the homicide rate reached an all time high of 18 deaths per every 100,000 people (Crimepreventionresearchcenter.org). If we ban the assault rifle we will not only keep the homicide rate the same but will likely increase it. “Assault rifles” should be legal, to prevent tyranny and protect the people from international invasion. Making these guns legal will reduce crime rate in America as it has done in many other countries.
