If you have taken medication or visited a hospital, chances are that an animal was used to help diagnose you, or create the medication you are prescribed to. Animal testing is a prevalent problem that has sparked a debate both politically and ethically. Across the United States over a hundred million animals are abused in testing facilities each and every year. Whether it may be curing cancer, trying to end a disease or creating beauty products, animals will die daily. One of the questions this topic raises is whether animal testing is ethically acceptable and should it be continued in the name of science and medical advances. Like all debates, animal testing has both positive, negative, and neutral standings.
