Persuasive Essay Against Abortion

What if your mom had an abortion? You wouldn’t be here, imagine how that would have impacted your families lives. Abortion shouldn’t be an option for expecting mothers. This could be argued both ways because in some rare situations the women get’s raped and doesn’t want to keep the baby or the mother’s life is at risk but either way it’s wrong. Most abortions aren’t due to rape or the mother’s life is at risk anyways, Only 6 percent of women get an abortion due to rape or because there life was in danger(Ingram). Women should not have the right to an abortion because a fetus has the right to life, killing something a person created is wrong, and if a person doesn’t want a baby don’t have sex/responsibilities. A fetus has the right to life. Killing a soon to be born child isn’t right. Have some heart how could one live knowing they killed their baby, he or she never even had a chance at life. Most women who end up taking the path of an abortion suffer through depression. Why would a mother do this if they're going to feel horrible after words. Inside we all know those babies shouldn’t have gotten their lives taken away right before they started, there are lots of people who agree there is even an anti …show more content…
The more parents talk to there kids and make them more aware of their actions and consequences the less accidental pregnancies and that means less abortions. “All new human life should be embraced as a blessing from God”(Ingram) the older one gets the more they will understand the importance of their own child's life. “These obstacles, though difficult, can be overcome when put in the context of life or death of an unborn child”(Ingram). No matter how bad they don’t want a baby that is not a good enough reason to cut their babies life off due to selfish thinking. A person’s choices to end their baby's life is selfish if they didn’t want a baby they should have been a lot more careful or not done it at

Many women don’t know how abortion affects their baby, they just look at it as a way to fix a mistake they may have made by becoming pregnant in the first place. I don’t believe that this is right at all. In 2012, unmarried women accounted for 85.3% of all abortions. (U.S. Abortion Statistics) To me that seems like just a lot of women who felt alone, and like they couldn’t take care of a baby on their own.…

An abortion is effectively a medical decision and it should be made between the mother and her doctor. A woman should not be forced to have a child, and it would make little sense for a woman to have a child when they may not be ready. It would be unfair to not only the mother, but the child as well, the child may not receive the level of care that it deserves. Mothers may choose abortion because they are not prepared to have a child, it makes no sense for the mother to be forced into parenthood. After the child is born, the only people that will be there to support it would be its parents, and if the parents are not ready, there will be no way for the child receive the care it…

I believe adoption is a good solution to that problem. Many people would disagree, saying that it would be too hard on the mother to carry the child and then give it up, but I believe that if a woman is willing to take the life of her unborn child then it shouldn’t be even more difficult for her to put her baby up for adoption. There are many couples in the world that feel incomplete because of the inability to get pregnant, and adoption is a way that these couples can finally have the family that they’ve always wanted. When seeking an abortion woman should take the option of adoption into consideration and allow someone else to give their child the love and happy life that they could not…

There are many laws now restricting access to abortions which may outlaw abortions in the future. The movement to outlaw abortions is getting stronger and congressmen have taken measures to make abortions harder to receive. Back in the 1970s abortion had been illegal because of religious views about babies, and now those same views are appearing again. The two sides of the argument fight for either the women’s right or the right of the fetus. The people fighting for abortion are fighting to give women a choice so that in the future they will be able to decide instead of having congressmen decide.…

As a doctor, I see an enormous amount of teen and unwanted pregnancies. I also see mothers decide to have a baby with the intentions to raise and take care of the child, but sadly, not all mothers are mature enough to raise a baby, and eventually let another family member take the child. In todays world, women who are considering an abortion are forced to decide in just 24 weeks, and some politicians want to shorten that time or even abolish abortion fully. On the other, there are some people who are “pro-choice” meaning the believe the mother has the choice to abort the baby up to 24 weeks. I know of one case that is personal to me.…

There has been a long existing debate of “Pro-Life” versus “Pro-Choice” about whether or not women should be able to abort a child. Many people being Pro-Choice will use the argument that the fetus isn 't a living person, and rather that it is the woman’s body; therefore the woman’s choice. There are other options women have such as adoption: waiting until the baby is born and providing the child a well-suited family to properly care for them. I believe any way you can avoid aborting a child is better than abortion because you give the child a chance for life. An unborn child in the womb contains all of the characteristics for it to be considered living, proving abortion is morally and scientifically wrong.…

There are so many circumstantial situations, which should be acknowledged while making the choice whether one should proceed with terminating a pregnancy. Although it’s easy to make an opinion on how morally and ethically disgusting it is to murder just a child, there will never be proof that the fetus instead a woman’s body is a living being. Instead of judging these women for their choices, one should put themselves in their shoes and see just how much of an impact the choice of abortion or no abortion can make. All women deserve a second chance. It should be permitted to allow women to decide for themselves based on the impacts on themselves, their family and their unborn child, whether or not an abortion would be the best…

Abortion should be a part of a country’s contraception policy. People should plan their families and society must allow women to end unwanted pregnancies in order to deal with failures of birth control, cases of rape and cases of incest. Abortion should be legalized but discouraged. Legal, because it is a choice; discouraged because there are other more effective ways to prevent pregnancy than abortion. Abortion is all about allowing a woman to make her own decisions, in relation to her age, financial stability, relationship stability, and mental and physical capabilities.…
