In recent years, a heated debate about the continuation of pennies has been going on. What would you do? May of the people have been against it and I agree with that. Like source 1 said it cost more money to make a penny then the cost it really is. Many other countries have eliminated the penny already from there exchange. But then there are some of those people that care about every penny and can’t let go of it, but most of the people can’t see the value of it. The penny is still the discussion of the year. The United States penny cost much more to produce then it is actually worth. The cost of a penny to make is $2.41, this comes out of tax payers pcket for the government to keep producing the penny, in alone $60.2 million in 2011 was spent
