Swimmers attend swim team and practice daily so we can keep our speed …show more content…
When we arrive at swim competition normally we are one of the many teams that attend the meet. Some teams are local, but others come from all over the United States. The teams that join us at the meet normally consist of around the same number of team member as we do. At competition we are only allowed to bring the team members that are in the appropriate age group. When we arrive at the meet, we are all in competition mode. We love listening to music to get us fired up so we can compete fiercely at the meet. One of the songs we like to listen to is called “All I Do Is Win” because it helps us get in the mood to win which we all know is a excellent mood to be in. Another thing that helps us achieve the mood to swim is doing our team cheer. Our team cheer is you whisper, “Orange, black orange, black piranhas attack chomp ooh!” then you say it at in a normal voice then you yell it. We also have warm ups in the pool, during warm ups we wear drag suits which helps us not to spend all of our energy during warm ups. Warm ups, last from thirty minutes to an hour. During warm ups you can get scratched, bruised and whacked, but it is all ok because we are used to it. This helps us because competing is all about psyching out the competition before the meet even starts. Competing is something that we love and we love doing it more than anything. We all aim for winning, but our coaches always say it doesn't matter if you win
