Recently the academic school hours in our district have increased. This change might have many potential benefits, but as students we believe that the negative aspects of such a change would have many negative impacts. As we try to compete academically with other nations, we are losing sight of our goals. American students are some of the most well-rounded students globally. We are talented in the arts and sports, committed to improving our community, and still succeed academically. Increasing school hours will cut short the time students can focus towards their own passions in life, and will take them away from their stress-free zone.
