Jk Rowling Is A Role Model

There is a common saying that goes, “Not all heroes wear capes.” Most often, we’ve seen this refer to firefighters, policemen, or your average joes who do heroic acts such as catching a criminal, saving babies from danger, or just helping someone required assistance. However, not every heroic act has to be something physical. In fact, many people have heroes who are just inspirations or role models for them. My hero is someone who created a childhood for me, someone that crafted an imaginative world for my younger self to escape to when reality proved too difficult sometimes. We all know the world of Harry Potter as it was an iconic series for everyone of all ages. J.K. Rowling, the author of the series, made a wonderfully vivid universe of fantasy, magic, and adventurous thrills. She helped craft the ultimate childhood for many people, including me. Rowling has become somewhat of a role model for me. I see her as a very kind and outspoken female public figure who has contributed a lot to helping the unfortunate. She is the president of Gingerbread, a charity for those in single-parent families, where she provides support and advice. She has participated in fundraisers to raise money for medical institutions and for charities supporting children in need (“Gorden’s Women”). She has donated money, bid rare editions of her books, and visit the sick as a way to reach out and assist others and the institutions that do so (Willams). She has even donated money to the Edinburgh University to build a new clinic that treats and research sclerosis (“J.K Rowling Marks Start for Clinic”). She was apt to help those who needed it whether it be directly or indirectly. This is something that I wish to do as well and she is an encouragement for me to achieve my goal. She has been someone that I look up to and the inspiration I have to work towards my goal and to help those in
