Why Is Thanksgiving Important To Me

On the other hand, I had set some high goals for me in swimming such as making the state swim meet. Missing even one day of swim practice can have a detrimental effect on you. With that being said, whatever option I chose I would not be completely happy with.
It was early November when I found out that I would have practice over Thanksgiving weekend. At first we thought that we would still be able to go to my grandma 's house, but the schedule changed and another practice was added. We soon realized that I couldn 't do both. I was devastated. I loved

I get along with my cousins well and we look forward to seeing each other. We always play games together such as spying on the adults, playing the game of Life, and wrestling each other until the adults tell us to calm down. We always have loads of fun together. She also makes a superb pumpkin pie for dessert and every morning you wake up to the mouth watering smell of bacon coming from the kitchen.
I also enjoy swimming. I like spending time with my teammates, completing hard sets during practice, and jumping into the frigid water at five o 'clock in the morning. I have become great friends with my teammates in and out of practice. The coaches also push us to do our best and give us swim sets that are so hard that they frequently leave us sore for days. Additionally I also had to prepare for my first swim meet. Missing one day of swim practice can ruin your stroke technique and create a perception among the coaches that you’re not as dedicated as others on the

As everyone packs food onto their plates I can hear the excitement in their voice when they get the macaroni or dressing and say more please. The fried turkey also gets lots of compliments. Our guest always say how it is so tender and juicy with crispy skin. Some people even have my dad to make the turkey for their family thanksgiving dinner. When it is time for dessert nothing hit the spot better than hot peach cobbler from the oven topped with freezing cold vanilla ice cream.…

Sausage Dip Every couple of years my family and I travel up north to spend Easter with my family in Kentucky. After an eight-hour car ride, we would enter the house to a pleasant aroma of pulled pork that my Aunt Kathy had been cooking since that morning. My aunt loved it when we would all visit. She made sure we were fed and we had a place to stay, even if our trip was a last minute decision. One Easter, my mom and aunt were in the kitchen making dinner.…
