I used to use Facebook much more than I do now because I enjoy face to face interaction more. Another reason you may not want to join Facebook is that it can become addicting. Constantly checking in on friends can be extremely time- consuming and unproductive. You can spend an hour on Facebook, which may feel like 10 minutes, and not have gotten anything done. On the other hand, Facebook is a great tool in many different ways. You can read the news, catch up on current events, and play games. The games are unique because unlike most gaming platforms, Facebook enables other users to “help” you out, or send virtual gifts in the games. Also, more adults use Facebook than any other social media site so connecting to grandma and grandpa has never been easier. I’m friends on Facebook with many kids I used to go to camp with, and wouldn’t have been able to see them ever again. Thankfully, Facebook makes it easy for me to check in and see what they 're up to. Through Facebook I was able to find out that some are even attending Syracuse themselves. I would never have known that they were here if Facebook wasn’t around. I would walk right by them without knowing I had. If you are having any problems or questions about Facebook, or using it, be sure to ask me right away. Also let me know if you like it or not, but be sure to not use it for extended periods of time.
