Even though summer time means more construction that can cause heavy traffic and detours; I’d still choose driving on a hot summer day. However, if there's a heat wave and you are dehydrated, there is a possibility of passing out behind the wheel. Your tires aren't going to slide every time you break, so you will get better performance out of your car. You'll be able to see pretty far ahead and have more time to react. For example, a collision will be much easier to avoid unlike in the snow. When snow hits the ground it can become black ice that will make it harder to brake or steer. Driving is dangerous enough in itself, there is always a risk every time you get behind the wheel whether you're driving or not. I feel safer driving in the in dry conditions that's why I'd prefer driving in the summer then the winter.
Overall, driving takes skill no matter the season. You must always pay attention and avoid distractions that can cause damage to cars or even take a life.
