Many people think that animals going extinct will not affect the human race because it is not the humans that are going extinct. This is wrong simply because of the fact that animals affect us on a day to day basis. For example, birds kill of smaller animals that could harm us. That would benefit them since they have a food source, and it will benefit humans because they are no longer in harm's way since the smaller animal is no longer in our area. If the bird were to go extinct, that would incredibly harm us since we would be in constant contact with this harmful animal or insect. This being said, animals going extinct greatly affect humans since humans because they may not know how to handle a situation that a certain species, birds, have been handling their whole existence. “Cloning is one of several ways of increasing the number of individuals within a population. Clearly, natural breeding is the preferred method for thriving populations; but by definition these are not of conservation concern.” - William V Holt, one of the authors of “Wildlife conservation and reproductive cloning.” This quote greatly defends the stance that is for cloning since it states that there is a need for cloning. Humans need to make sure that they will be set for survival, meaning, keeping animals around that they depend on for that
