While many of you may not have had certain types of meat I’m sure you’ve had at least one bite at some point in your life. Whether that was chicken, beef, lamb, fish or even pork at some point you have had to consume a meat whether you choose it or not. The most common cuts of meat are chicken, pork and beef. Chicken like all other sources of food come from the agricultural world. The scientific name of the term “chicken” comes from birds known as broilers. Chicken has a very high source of protein, is a carbohydrate-free food, and provides two sources of vitamins known as vitamin B3 and vitamin B6. “Chicken is rich in many vitamins and minerals essential for human health and is a good food choice for dieters as well as bodybuilders and everyone in-between” (RD 1).
