Having a child is a lifelong financial struggle for parents. According to Mike Walters “ 73 percent of women feel that they lack financial resources” (Critical World Issues: Abortion pg 51). The lack of financial stability is the most common reason for abortion, and without this stability the child is more likely to attend a bad school district and be in poor health. One of the major reasons for the concern of financial well being is because of the decrease in resources. The Odyssey Online shows, “ women have faced a 61 percent decrease in funding for the Title X program” (15 Reasons To Be Pro-Choice pg 2). As a result of this shocking number a woman dies every ten minutes from an unsafe abortion. These unsafe procedures may include pumping toxic mixtures into the body or to break the amniotic sack. Along with the importance of continuing abortions so there is no death of unsafe procedures, it is also important to help the women who will die from pregnancies. Mike Walters shows“ over fifty one thousand women got an abortion for their physical health” (Critical World Issues: Abortion pg 57). These medical problems may include the fetus not developing right or if the woman had health problems before becoming pregnant. Stopping abortions for the stigma of it leading to depression is for the majority
