According to the World Organization of Health, “Every year in the world there are an estimated 40-50 million abortions. This corresponds to approximately 125,000 abortions per day.” Thousands of innocent lives are ended every day because of the option women are given of an abortion. Although abortions can be seen as acceptable in tragic situations, every life is valuable no matter the circumstances. Ultimately abortion should not be an option to women because it could lead to damaging problems for women mentally, physically, and emotionally as well as prematurely end a life, which could be avoided by beneficial alternates such as adoption.
