With this yearly income the average person would not have enough for their children to be in a boarding school. I have never thought of a boarding school because, I never really knew they existed. I knew about private, public, and homeschool that was pretty much it. My family has not considered a boarding school because they are farther away and more money than an average private school. In his article “Boarding Schools”, author Stephen G. Smith states “The principles embodied in the school and especially in its honor code are those i've tried to embody in my life” (38).Studies show in boarding schools that people have a higher iq. When kids are teenagers they normally start having fall outs with their parents. With boarding schools they will not have as many and have a healthier relationship. This is because the teenager will not be home when they are stressed out with school and studying. These teenagers will also have more respect because, the discipline in the school is a lot harsher. Boarding schools also offer more college grants. Public schools and private schools have a lot more drop outs and kids who fail then Boarding schooled kids. You also have your sneaky private and public school teenagers that drink behind their parents back. In boarding schools you will not have those kids even though there is a lot of parties. It is a very high degree punishment if an adolescent is caught at a party with alcoholic drinks at a party. There is more things to do at a Boarding school so, you won’t fall out like other teenagers

Students were also ripped from the community at age 5 and isolated until age 18 when they were thrown back into a society they no longer knew. Students were also told that their parents were not coming for them because they did not love them (O’Connell) when the truth was that parents could not legally rescue their children. This raised distrust among the children when they were allowed to return home after age 18.…

Later, when the United States actually acquired Illinois, McIntosh obtained a land patent for the same land from the United States Government. If school is all year round there will be drastic changes in the american lifestyle. For example school being all year round would be a problem for children because year round school will not give students enough family time. This is the case because sometimes parents like to take a vacation, or a break once in awhile. Therefore the government should let schools have a break during the school year so that children can have time to spend with family and friends. There are many more problems such as parents would have to make scheduling adjustments, and year round school won’t give students enough time to spend with family and friends, and year round school would cost more money.…

The good thing about this schools that I like is will motivate the students and tell them what exactly what to do also the teacher would help and see what every student is doing but the only thing is that the teacher do not gives any ideas to students when a students are not sure about an answer for a question. Also the teacher does not have the control of the classroom when students get noisy or get up from their desk. Some students are noisy and annoying and it’s very hard for a person to deal with so many students at the same time when they are noisy. I remember back in the days in high school some of the student were noisy and annoying or just throwing papers and it was hard for a teacher to take the control of the class. She just called the securities from the school to take them out the class.…

During my time in high school, our choir went to state every year, the art department won first in show year after year, and our forensics team won state two out of the three years I participated. We worked incredibly hard for those achievements; however, year after year, the allotted budget for extracurricular activities went to new football uniforms, or a new score board. We never understood why they got fresh uniforms and new equipment every two years when they couldn’t win one game. All the while, music clubs were stuck sharing sheet music, and the theater department paid for their own supplies for set design. Institutions of education across America carry the weight of shaping the next generations minds.…
