We are animals and animals are beings, no one being is more important than the other. Just like humans, animals have feelings. They have the full capability to feel love, hatred, and even depression. So many millions of animals are abused and murdered every year by our own kind, yet many of these people do not get the harsh charges they should get for the horrific crimes they are commenting. With that said, Convicted animal abusers should have stricter punishments in the United States. In many cases of animal cruelty the abusers are not punished at all, and if so it is only a misdemeanor offense.
