In the use of logos, pathos and ethos through the presentation of counter arguments, one is able to show multiple views and opinions, further strengthening your ideas. I use logos and paths throughout major paper one, especially in the use of a counter arguments. The major contention to my support of artistic programs are that people believe that class time needs to be weighted more towards math and science classes. I was able to strengthen my claim by bringing in evidence that shows that students in impoverished schools have a higher chance of graduating and going to college when they receive art instruction in school. If class time is being weighted more towards art, low income kids will succeed more than if class time was going towards more math and science classes. Organization can make or break the argument. If the paragraphs have no flow or transition, the ideas in the paper don’t seem as strong and become very difficult for the reader to understand. I utilize organization by the use of an introduction, three paragraphs of evidence, a counter argument, and a conclusion. In between my paragraphs I have transition that connect one paragraph from another. I also ordered my paragraphs in a way that helped move my argument. After the introduction I brought in my evidence to let the reader know the facts and reasons why I am for the argument. Next I placed the counter argument paragraph to show the reader why other people are against the argument. I then concluded my essay with a conclusion that shows the reader why my argument is stronger than the counter argument. Using this strategy I made my argument clear and
