We do not succumb to fear. We will stand with the people of Turkey and every other nation, alongside our allis and our friends to rid terrorist and strengthen their country's democracy. Since my first day in the Oval Office, our dministration has been working to counter the terrorists online and to empower more people, especially younger people, to use their talents and technology to push back on the terrorists propaganda. To protect innocent human beings, we have to stand together as one and push back on the hateful ideologies that fuel terrorism. And as always we stand up for the universal values of tolerance and respect for human dignity that unite us and make us much more stronger than any terrorist. Instead, we will stand united to protect our people, and defend our nations, and to take action against those who threaten us. We have to uphold our values, not just when it's easy, but when it's hard. We are not allowing any one in America or in any nation around the world to take advantage of any destruction of humanity, by trying to score any political point. We arrived in the Middle East decades ago to fight, our new generation of Americans are going there to build and deepen our friendship between us. I also would like to remind the leaders that we are unable to help, if you are not willing to cooperate with us. I agree with Dr. King, "the arc of the universe is long, but it bends toward justice." I believe in that. But I also believe that the arc of our nation and the arc of our world does not bend toward justice, or freedom, or equality, or prosperity on it's own. It depends on us and on the choices we make. The progress is bumpy. It always has been. As long as we keep at it, as long as we don't get discourage, as long as we are out their fighting the good fight not just one day, or one month, but every single day, and every single month, I have no doubt that we're going to live up to the promise of our founding ideals.
