Perspectives On Acquaintance Rape Analysis

When determining the meaning of rape we all have different opinions. A couple weeks ago I defined rape as a person having sexaul intercourse or any other physical abuse without the consent of the victim. However after reading and analyzing the article “Perspectives on Acquaintance Rape” by David G. Curtis I have formed a whole new definition of what constitutes rape . While reading I came across the controversy on how to define the word rape and the word consent. As an example, most would say when a girl says no and is taken advantage of but in reality there is actually no real definition of the word consent. While reading the article there were things I saw that made me mad and some things that made me sad, but it was all the truth so you could do nothing but face it. Although she dresses this way that doesn’t put a target on her visual showing skin that say I want to be raped. For crying out loud no woman should ever have to be violated in such a way then leaves a man with the littlest big of satisfaction thinking that she wanted it just because of the way she dresses or if she drinks.
