One Person Three Personality Characteristics In Langston Hughs' short story "Thank you, Ma'am," Mrs.Luella Bates Washington Jones shows the reader her many personality characteristics. First, she shows she is bossy. When she told Roger that he is going to get his face washed that was being bossy. Also when she made Roger stay with her that was showing bossiness. Also, when Mrs. Jones puts Roger in a half-nelson, and dragged Roger home with her was being bossy. Secondly, Mrs. Luella Bates Washington Jones showed she is kind. One time she showed kindness was when she washed Roger's face. Cooking a meal for Roger is another times she showed kindness. Roger said he wanted blue suede shoes Mrs. Luella Bates Washington Jones gave Roger $10 to buy
