Bill Schaeffer As discussed in class, collecting data from multiple entry points is necessary to get an accurate depiction of one’s personality. As I found from the results of the two personality assessments, this statement holds true. The results of the Big Five test provide feedback that I scored above average with Conscientiousness (29) and Neuroticism (20), obtained average scores in Extraversion (18) and Agreeableness (14), and below average with Openness to New Experience (9). When analyzing the results from perspective, I disagree with is my below average score within the Openness category, especially when I reflect on my life experiences. Pertaining to the other categories, the representation of my personality appears accurate. When I was completing the Big Five assessment I had the sense that it would have been fairly easy for one to manipulate the readings if the test taker had motives to direct the answers to their more favorable outlook. Although I did not do this, this can fuel the viewpoint of why multiple data sources should be included when describing one’s personality. …show more content…
Once I received the assessment result I felt as if the depiction was inaccurate. The first two results that stuck out to me were receiving zeroes for both the Need for Power and Self-References sections. This gives me the ideation that I have no drive for either one of them, which personally seems as if the zero rating is too low to show any validity. The client that I’ve observed the occupational therapist evaluate along with a physical therapist was a female client with expressive aphasia as a result of a left transient ischemic attack (TIA).
