When I was taking the Keirsey Temperament Sorter II Personality Assessment I had to use a dictionary off my phone. There were a lot of words that I did not know amazing the words you do not use every day. My Keirsey assessment result indicated that my personality type is that of Guardian. I can relate to the result because at work I am like a protector. If someone is talking bad about another employee I tend to jump in and defend that person. The mother instinct pops in and since I am the oldest of the other cashiers. I was confused when taking the Meyers-Biggs Personality Quiz the words got me really thinking. My results were Extravert (68%), Intuitive (38%), Thinking (1%), and Judging (38%). I have distinct preference of Extraversion over …show more content…
I like to figure out the problems first. I have marginal or no preference of thinking over feeling. I am confused on this one. I have moderate preference of judging over perceiving. I never judge a book by its cover. When I see someone come into the store and they are dirty or not wearing clothes that are in good shape I do not talk bad about them because I treat everyone the same as I would want to be treated. I am not sure about the results because I am a hard worker and always make sure people are taken care of before I take care of myself. I am a giver rather a taker. Some of the questions were difficult. The qualities of empowered learners that I enjoy are responsibility, self-motivation, self-management, independence, self-awareness and emotional intelligence. I tend to be shy when I have to speak in front of a bunch of people so I plan to work on interdependence working together with other students and be able to ask for help if I get stuck on an assignment. There are no other qualities that were left out the chapter helps with any qualities that one person can improve within the next 10 weeks of this

And through this, I found new strengths and weaknesses. I established my intelligence as being something higher than I ever thought it was. The results of my personality inventory indicate that I have a Type A personality (350 out of 380). Type A personalities are often impatient, have difficulty relaxing, and are competitive (Gray-Stanley, 2009). My impatience is evident when I take my dogs out for their bathroom breaks. As dogs will do, they sniff every bush in the yard before urinating and I find myself scolding them for being too slow. In addition, relaxation is not part of my vocabulary at this time as I constantly feel the need to complete homework or study for a test.…

The analysis results from the various self-assessments have afforded me the opportunity to notice hidden aspects about myself. I have been able to perform contemplative and thorough self-examinations of my personality in order to determine viable methods to enrich my overall personality. It has been my experience that organizational behavior in many ways are similar to the institutionalized behaviors exhibited by those in orphanages or prisons. The similarities reside in the fact that the workplace is an environment where people from very different cultures, socioeconomic backgrounds, ethnicities and religious beliefs find themselves compartmentalized into an environment, directed towards a new way of life and then ordered to play nice…

Although one’s personality is often confused for their individuality, a fundamental distinction can be easily made: a personality does not think. It is the individual that thinks, choosing the qualities, traits and characteristics that make up their personality. Personality is a characteristic pattern of thoughts — a mental construct. Whatever an individual thinks about, and especially what he thinks about himself, provides the mental building blocks with which his personality is constructed. If you have ever been called a block-head, it was in reference to your personality, not your individuality.…
