Personality Analysis: The Keirsey Temperament Sorter

The Keirsey Temperament Sorter (KTS) is a self-assessed personality instrument that helps individuals discover their personality type. The purpose of the KTS personality assessments is to help people understand themselves better. For example, Keirsey Temperament Sorter can report whether an individual is an introvert or extrovert. Moreover, the questionnaire places people into four dimensions called temperaments. These temperaments are identified as the following: guardian, idealist, rational, and artisan. Keirsey Sorter defines temperaments as a group of observable personality traits, such as habits of communication, patterns of action, and sets of characteristic such as attitudes, values, and talents.

I decided to investigate more into Keirsey meaning of INFJ personality type. I was curious about how Keirsey Temperament Sorter would classify my strength, weakness, and career options after reading my results for Jung personality test.
According to Keirsey Temperament, my personality places me under the dimension for the idealist, specifically counselor. Based on my Keirsey type, I have a strong desire to contribute to the well-beings of others. Counselor trait is satisfied by helping others develop and to reach their full potential. Moreover, people with this counselor idealist trait are able to understand the emotional experiences of others; however, this can lead the individual to be emotionally drain. There were many websites that were consistent with this dimension for counselor idealist. Furthermore, the information presented above only accounts for a narrow description of the counselor idealist trait due to the extensive amount of information. With this in mind, there were a few details listed under these characteristics for counselor idealist that I consider to be true when analyzing my personality.
