Google is an American company focusing on products and services based on internet. It was founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin and incorporated as a company at Sep. 4th, 1998. Vision statement
By definition, the vision statement entails the goal and reason why an organization or a company exists. While the mission statement gives an overview of the plans and some ways to realize the vision statement.
Before the vision statement, the word, GOOGLE, comes from the word “GOOGOL”, which is the name of the number represented by 1 followed by 100 zeros. Therefore, GOOGLE itself is some kind of vision statement, conveying their ability to organize and process ‘infinitively’ large amount of information.
Google’s vision statement is stated as “to provide access to the world’s information in one click”. By this statement, Google tries to make everyone who can access the internet capable to get what they want to know with one single click, that is, four things matter here which are Globally, Information, Accessibility and One Click.
Google always tries their best to make sure all the information they provide is legal and totally based on objective searching algorithm. They fulfills the globally information component by crawling the webpages. That is why when the China’s government tried to negotiate with Google and make them do the censorship, filtering all the “Reactionary” information, they decided to shut down their search engine in 2010 in China and head back.
