Personal Video Game Analysis

An experience of mine that changed my life, was in 6th grade. At the time I only did baseball, football, and wrestling. Then one day I went on YouTube just to watch whatever I found. I ended up coming upon an inspirational video of what was like athletes and how they push themselves type video. How they power through stuff that hurts and makes them want to quit but they keep pushing even though. It’s not a easy smooth road either, it is rough and isn’t for everyone. That hit me like getting trucked by a truck, ever since then i’ve always strived to do as much as I can and be the best at at it.
The next year, I did Football for two teams and starting going to camps and combines, wrestle for three teams, joined track and broke multiple records, started basketball again and was starting lineup, baseball, and started weight lifting year round and have been taking it seriously. And before seeing this video, I didn’t really care. I just went thru the motions in everything and all sports. Then after I took a major change and started succeeding in multiple sports being the or one of the top performers or athletes. Now today in highschool still affects me. I may not do a winter sport anymore, or baseball, but that’s

My closer goal is to get a offer from any division school during sophomore year. Right now I already have a few division 2 college letters and a division 3 school about recruiting me and wanting me to visit with them. I wouldn’t be here or ever talking about this today if it wasn’t for two things. One, that video that has actually changed my life hugely. And second, my dad, he has done so much more for me that I forget how much he is doing because he does all the time. Friends say that they wish their parents would do as much for them as my dad does for me. He has spent thousands for my camps and combines. Bought an entire gym and turf for me. All the hours he has spent on me as

Reading Response #1 There were many things that stuck out to me in the two items that I analyzed. They reminded me of my own personal life in multiple ways, and I was really intrigued by how deeply they broke down what playing games. The first incident in which I was impressed, was when Ted talk broke down how online games play a major role in giving the players the feeling of empowerment while playing. This happens because a player gets into a game and feels like he/she can change the world that they are virtually in, and they begin to start looking at themselves from a certain perspective in which the world is revolving around their every action.…

The best college students learn very quickly that the best thing that they can do is never give up, discover something new every day, work with the community as best as they can and show great respect for the learning community. They also learn that service to the community is essential and they do this by helping others and making them stronger learners. Although Bain’s book does a very good job of explaining all of these values, the one that stands out to me is that of discovery. Discovery stands out because in order to learn you must find/discover something new every day in order to be the best learner that you can be. Stories that Exemplify Discovery…

My most favorite career that I ever wanted is to be a video game tester. What I like about the life of a video game tester is that you have to find bugs/glitches in the game. Once you find a glitch in the game, you have to report the glitch to the bug tracker database so that they can fix the glitch and make a new copy of that game. I know some of these roles are hard on this job, but I’ll do my best to get through them and get used to it later on in my life. I thought this job is about testing games, but it is more than just playing games before they come out.…

My review of the indie game is aimed at 13 to 25 year old casual gamers, the target audience can be any gender but typically slightly more males watch gaming channels than females do. This video would be on a YouTube gaming channel as the website is popular with the target audience. This piece is influenced by other gaming channels, such as ‘Pewdiepie’ or ‘Markiplier’, who are also popular with the target audience…

It’s been over twenty years since I furiously tore the wrapping paper from an oversized Super Nintendo box. Inside the next wrapped box, I found what would become my most beloved cartridge, Donkey Kong Country. As an eight year old, I didn’t notice that the only female character was unplayable, hyper-sexualized and used as a reward for reaching the save point. In fact, I spent countless afternoons collecting bananas and smashing barrels while completely unaware that my favorite game was contributing to one of the greatest problems facing the game industry today. But after nearly two decades of gaming, this issue has become startling apparent to me.…

There are games that can appeal to everyone’s interest, whether that is a single-player role-playing game (RPG), or a massively multiplayer online game (MMO). Of course, there are as many genres for games as there are for genres of literature, and very different social worlds within each genre. The social world of Archeage — an MMORPG which is a combination of a role-playing story type game with thousands of people connecting online — will be used for analysis. Archeage is a player-driven game, meaning that players are given the freedom to control the economy, divide territories, and occasionally decide the rules of the game.…

During the experiment, participants played 4 total games, two that included a storyline (Outlaws and Half-Life) and then two that did not include or have minimal storylines (Doom 2 and Quake 2). After finishing eight minutes of each game, the participants answered specific questions and completed a nonverbal assessment related to the completed game before continuing to the next specified game.
