Introduction In today’s world many people experience difficulties while trying to choose a major. A lot of students when first attending college have no idea what they plan to do with their future. When choosing a major you really have to think about what you value in life. “Your values define who you are and who you want to be” (Ellis, 2014, p.137). You determine your own success by defining your values and taking action with them. Some examples of personal values may include: focused attention, self-responsibility, integrity, risk taking, and contribution. There are four ways to make this process easier. First, you need to discover all possible options.
