Because of an increased awareness and interest in health and exercise, fitness and personal trainers are in greater demand than ever. While some gyms and fitness centers hire trainers who only have on-the-job training, more and more employers are requiring that personal trainers have an associate's or bachelor's degree in a related related field. Writing a resume education section is key in getting a job in the fitness industry.

What to Include in a Fitness and Personal Trainer Resume Education Section

Typical fitness instructors and personal trainers have a degree in either exercise science, kinesiology or physical education. When writing a resume education section, you will need to collect all of your school's information. You will need to

If you are a recent graduate and have little work experience in the fitness industry, your education will be your best selling point and this section should be listed first. If you've been a fitness and person trainer for several years, your education section can be placed after your work experiences.

Always begin with your most recent degree and then list the rest in reverse chronological order. While most personal trainers have an associate's or bachelor's degree, there are some graduate programs for the field. The name of your degree should be listed first, followed with the name of the college or university and its location and any honors your graduated with while attending. Relevant team or class projects, campus organizations and extracurricular activities should be listed using bullet points under the college information. Unless you are a very recent graduate, never list the date that you graduated. If you have yet to graduate or are still finishing up classes, write when you expect to graduate from
