Personal Summary: The Blackhawks

Improved Essays
The Blackhawks were finally getting hot, everybody knew about Glenn Hall, Stan Mikita, Pierri Pilote, and Bobby Hull. Mikita was awarded his first Art Ross Trophy in 1964 and Hull scored 50 goals in one regular season, which was considered a lot back in that time because of how little the league was. Fewer teams, fewer games to be played. Mikita also had real temper that made their games more interesting to watch. He managed to rack up 149 penalty minutes in the 1964 regular season due to a lot of fighting on the ice. "I realized most of the penalties were additions of 10 minutes - misconducts. I also tried to knuckle down and stop the stupid lazy penalties, the hooks, the trips and the holds. I also realized I couldn't talk the referees out

The Carolina Panthers are enjoying their bye week in the best position possible at 4-0. The last time this team was undefeated was 2003; when we made it to the Super Bowl I'd say that is good karma. Many around the league have called us “the worst undefeated team due to the lack of competition we faced early in the year. My response to that is we don't make the schedule and the reality is in any sport anyone can win on any day. I will echo head coach Ron Rivera's sentiments when he said we are not going to apologize for being undefeated.…

My domination of easily breezing by my neighbors in street hockey and always ranked at the top of stat sheets for scoring in recreational hockey, abruptly ended when I joined my first competitive travel hockey team. My first game exemplified the setbacks my fear imposed on my team when I frighteningly moved out of the way of an enormous player to grant him a free pass to the net in which he scored the game winning goal. Shamefully looking at me as if I were an ally of the other team, I became alienated after my team after they began the tradition of…

Standing outside the Pittsburgh Penguins locker room after Game 5 of the Stanley Finals against the Nashville Predators I had never been more excited of the career path I chose. The adrenaline and anticipation as we wait for the locker room to open up for interviews only makes me more excited as I know I will be the only woman with a camera pushing and shoving for that perfect shot. Getting to see my favorite team get to the Stanley Cup Finals and being able to film every step along the way is a moment I will always remember and being able to be a part of history as the Penguins clench the series and win back to back cups. The parade that followed was unreal as all of Pittsburgh turned out for the team and there I was filming every moment. These two moments are only a few that have made me want to work in the sports industry as a cinematographer, editor, or producer.…
