Our Future America

To introduce myself I am Hayes Johnson and I am here to talk about concerns that I have with our future country run by Donald Trump.

First off I want to say that I am very pleased to have Mr.Trump as our future president. One concern that I have is that because of “the wall” that Trump will supposedly build, I think that with future presidents of Mexico there may be conflict between the U.S. and Mexico. I fear that this will happen because maybe the next president of Mexico may not be as calm as the present Mexican President.

Another concern of mine is that with Trump saying all of these expressions about bombing potential threats and terrorists, that maybe war will be a common thing for the U.S. To me I personally

In an interview, Donald John Trump, an American businessperson and a Republican candidate running for president, specified: “ The immigrants are bringing drugs, they’re bringing crime, and they’re rapists. It’s coming from Mexico. It’s coming from the south and Latin America and it’s coming, probably, from the Middle East, but we don’t know because we have no protection.” As a result of the immigrants coming into America, Trump wants to create the immigration plan. If Trump’s plan is carried out, the Mexicans would be unauthorized to enter America because of the “great great wall,” possible recessions and riots would take place, and all illegal immigrants including the birthright citizens will be forced to leave America.…

The immigrants experiences in the reading were overall very positive. The lithuanian and italian bootback bothers stories started off rocky due to the lithuanian listening to his fellow countrymen about how he must “ look rich even if you are not rich” using the little bit money he brought with him to America to buy a a expensive suit and to bribe to the police officer to help secure a job in the slaughterhouse. The bootblack brothers were taken advantage of as soon they stepped off the boat. Even though Bartolo saved the brothers from being sent back to italy he took advantage of the brothers and other men to help line his pockets with money.…

Visions are only unique as the individual themselves who make up this country. America is not the same as it was ten years ago. Who would have thought that we would have cell phones that were similar to a small computer in our pocket, a car that could talk back to us, or that we would have an African American president? Our visions for America could change everyday. My vision for America is very unique for my age group.…

Even though we are willing to help, we should be stricter about the immigrants that are in this country, and Donald Trump has good ideas to do that. To improve America, Trump’s scare tactics will bring people from different parties and areas of the country to vote for him in this upcoming election. He uses the fears of illegal immigration and terrorism as means of getting people to go vote for him. This election will come down to who can keep U.S. citizens safe, and Trump brings that sense of security to the…

The primaries are drawing closer and closer, and it is time to think about who you will be voting for. The country is mixed on who they think our next president should be. For the Democratic Party, it is looking like Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders will make it to the presidential election, and for the Republican Party it is looking like Donald Trump or Ted Cruz might have what it takes to get that far. The country is mixed on whether or not Trump should be our next president, but we should not let this multiple time bankrupt businessman run the U.S.A. Trump is a racist man.…

Over the past few weeks I have been accumulating Information about the economy over the past fifty something odd years, and to say the least I was blown away by my findings. My discussions mainly centered on the economy through the 1960’s which was in the heart of the Civil Rights Movement. Two weekends ago I made a trip home to Topeka to speak with my Grandmother, Nina Whitten (73 years old) about what she remembered about the economy back during that time period. This particular topic was a fascinating one to talk about for the both of us. Her first memory was about the jobs that black folks were practically forced to take because there were not very many options.…

I believe in America. Here, Freedom rings, opinions run rapid and we are brave. That being said, in an ideal world there would most definitely be room for improvement. This country is not what our founding fathers envisioned two hundred twenty eight years ago. My vision for America would be complete equality, complete acceptance, and for everyone to be grateful for what they have, instead of worrying about what they do not.…

Currently, I work as a researcher and policy planner for Presidential candidate, Bernie Sanders. My job is informing him on the brief historical chronology leading to present day extremism, providing him with clear advice for how to differentiate between groups and their perspectives, supply him with points that he can use in a debate to refute some of the fear and hate-mongering statements made by others, as well as give him effective suggestions for how to confront Global Jihadism in ways including and beyond military. As his secondhand, I would allow Bernie to introduce the topic as such: “My fellow Americans -- tonight, I want to speak to you about what the United States will do with our friends and allies to degrade and combat the current…
