There are many reasons why obtaining the leadership designation(s) would help my academic, professional, and personal goals. I believe being able to be or become a good leader in any possible situation is very crucial. Obtaining the leadership designation(s) would dramatically help me overall in my life. For my academic goals, I believe it would help me stay more focused and goal oriented with my school work. Being more focused and goal oriented would help make a clearer vision for my future. While having a clearer vision, it would help make my dream and goals more obtainable. An important goal of mine is to be able to graduate from The University of Akron with a job offer waiting for me. I would be able to understand and be responsive to my group’s needs. There would be a greater amount of good communication as well. Also, being a good leader can help someone make better self-assessments about themselves. By being capable of making better assessments, you can help approve your own personal weaknesses and disburse your strengths. Other important attributes of obtaining the leadership designation(s) include: gaining confidence, gaining responsibilities, developing better communication skills, developing negotiation skills, and be able to network. Eventually, I would like to use either my accounting or finance degree to help others with financial stability. As well as getting certified as either a CPA or CFP. Then, I hope to use my work ethic and experience to work my way up to becoming a CFO of a big company. With such big goals in mind, I hope to gain a lot of personal experience for this leadership program to help me achieve these goals and to be the best leader I can for these companies and people that need my
