1 The most important thing to look for when hiring someone is their attitude and smile when we first meet. We are in the people business, so finding good workers with great attitudes to take care of the business and customers is very important. Another thing is how comfortable they are with me asking questions. Associates need to have a good and open personality around people. We our customers to feel like they are home. The final thing that I find important in hiring new associates and managers is to ask what they have done and plan on doing in their future. If someone pushes me to do better I will show them what I can do. Striving to be the best is what made me to be a great cook, a great employee, even a great husband and father. Another strength is it doesn’t bother me to have to work hard and stay late to get things done for the business. If you want it done I will get it done. Because of that I don’t get checked on a lot from my bosses. A skill I have is that I am a great team player. I want to go by the book on waffle house way like Mark Perry does. I want to be able to teach Mark Perry something he didn’t know before he leaves. I want to have my name out there like my bosses. I want people to know who I am everywhere, not just at the unit.
7 The most important thing I have done is prepare my family for the change. I let my wife know how hard I am going to work on finding a way to get the kids to school if we move. Talking to my wife about how she might handle my new work life. Another way is talking to my bosses about what they go through to see if I can handle it.
8Yes, I will be able to relocate. How far is another story. I and my wife have been thing about moving out of Macon a little. My wife is a surgical tech, she will be able to find work at any hospital. So all in all moving wouldn’t be that big of an issue for my family. The only issue would be finding a way to get my kids back and forth to school but we always figure out a way.
9 My wife always tells me I already work hard enough as it is why not make more money doing it. My kids love waffle house they have been born into this company. So they wouldn’t mind at all if we have to move. We have been looking into buy a house in the near future. The only concern is the area of the school my kids will have to go
