My grandpa started and ran his own masonry business, and my dad has been farming since he could walk. They have made many sacrifices and have provided so much for our family. By example, they have shown me the importance of being a hard worker and practicing integrity with every job you do. I believe that I have learned by their actions and hope to work hard with every task I complete such as they do. They never let me bow out of any chores or tasks that I helped them with. I believe their way of life has been instilled in me, and I am forever grateful to have them to look up to. Not everyone gets those types of experiences. Even if there is a task that I cannot complete or that I make mistakes on, I make it a mission to learn from that and perform better in the future. It was the best decision I could make, and although it is a relatively unheard of degree, I believe it has opened up many doors for me. The personality traits I possess are what I believe to be valuable in this field. Whether it be a strength or weakness, my whole self can constantly develop and grow in this career. I hope to be a lifelong learner and continue educating myself; never settling for anything less than upstanding and the best. HIM will allow me to flourish in my individuality, as well as help others flourish alongside me.
