Another personal strength is my ability to effectively solve problems and find solutions that benefit everyone by pulling from previous experiences and situations. These strengths have tremendously helped me throughout my life, jobs and school. Through my clinical experiences, I had the pleasure of interacting with many different patients, families and instructors that have provided extensive insight into various diseases and broaden my textbook knowledge. My personal confidence has improved throughout clinicals, however; as I stated earlier this will continue to grow as I become more familiar with my new role as a nurse. In nursing school, they try to enforce the concept of trusting yourself, especially when it comes to test, this has been my struggle throughout my education. I must learn to stop doubting myself and trust that I have absorbed the knowledge I need to reach my overall goals. At first, I felt that studying persistently will help to improve my self-doubt but I don’t believe that is the key. There is nothing wrong with studying, it is the only way to learn and understand new material. However, I have learned that the best way to deal with my self-doubt is through relaxation and mediation techniques to help settle my anxiety and relax my mind.
