An Examination of Strengths and Improvements
Focusing on analyzing weaknesses helps to remove obstacles that would block personal gain for reaching the goal of success in life. Many cannot handle the truth or accept personal assessment. Personally I like knowing who I am, and where my strength lies. I must say it has taken me forty years to get to this point. I realized one day that to succeed higher, I had to embrace the things that were holding me back.
Strengths

I like to think one of my biggest strengths is listening skills. As I stated earlier, I truly love quietness. I do not have a problem speaking up, but I prefer to listen. As a child I would always listen to my elders’ conversations and remembered everything talked about in that little circle. My grandmother used to tell me I had the memory of an elephant. I guess that was a good thing, but I find if I listen I won’t miss anything. My biggest strength is punctuality, I hate being late for anything. As a child I remember the older folks saying “Child, you going be late for your own funeral.” That scared the life out of me, so I make it a point always arrive on time for everything. I was ten years old when my grandfather passed away on my dad’s side, and he really was late for his own funeral. The Church was over-crowded and everyone was waiting for his body to arrive. So, are you able to guess who won’t be late for her funeral? Yes, it is I. No one will be waiting for two hours for me, heck you may even miss the service. Because, I always arrive early and always try to leave early, too. I love new things, I have always believed that change is good. The assessment stated that I was strong in tech confidence, readiness, and financial ready. My oldest son helped me to know I was a person that was financially ready. Every time he calls mama he wants to borrow and like a mother I just give the money to him. I dominate in many area(s) of my life, but I have not reached perfection. I am trying hard to get to perfection by gaining more knowledge, increasing my talents, and my ability to

A weakness that I have is that I do not know how to say no to individuals that ask me for help since I love to help people. It is important that I learn to say no when helping others gets in the way of me accomplishing my tasks. It is important that I do both, but not when I run the risk of not meeting my deadlines and me staying late hours after work to get my work done. It has not been an easy task saying no, but I am learning to be okay with saying no because it is important that it does not interfere with my responsibilities.…
