My personal interest in pharmacy began when I was in high school, specifically when I spoke to a pharmacist in a hospital. I was visiting an ill family member when a pharmacist and I engaged in a conversation about his career. I was encouraged by his knowledge in the pharmaceutical field. He shared some personal experiences that inspired me to help people toward their path to a healthier life. After our conversation, I desired to become a pharmacist.

Becoming a certified pharmacy technician has taught me skills that will be useful in my future as a pharmacist. Working at a pharmacy has improved my communication with customers. I believe clear communication is a required skill to work in a pharmacy so that there are no discrepancies. Along with communication, it is important to be able to handle stressful situations in a positive manner. I have acquired these skills by participating in extensive training with a pharmacist.
