Why I Deserve This Scholarship I believe that a community involved, hard-working, and athletic person is what makes a successful high school student. Although I wasn’t always the star player, I still attended practices and games all the time because I knew I had to earn what I wanted to achieve. My best year was senior year, but not just because I scored more points. I became captain of the team. I made sure to boost my teammates when we lost a game or had a bad practice. I also would tell them what they needed to change in their game or attitude.
But besides what will be found on an application, I believe that I deserve this scholarship because of how hard I push myself to achieve my goals. I will continue my characteristics when I attend the University of Wisconsin-Fond du Lac this fall. After I complete my general education classes at Fond du Lac, I plan on attending either UW Madison or UW River Falls to become a veterinarian. I strive to reach this goal with the dedication and positive attitude that has helped me in the

One of the most important mindsets to have before stepping out on the field hockey field, or any field for that matter, is to understand what it is to persevere. To understand what it means to persevere is to understand that you can find the strength to pick yourself up in the last two minutes of the game, put in your best work, and score the winning goal as the buzzer sounds.
