Personal Statement: Why I Choose USF

Improved Essays
Why did you choose USF? I chose Usf because of the friendly campus and intensive medical programs. To be honest, USF was not my first choice. I initially became interested in attending school in Florida due to other choices. However, on a statewide tours of the universities, we stopped to spend the weekend with my aunt here in Tampa. She encouraged me to at-least come and check it out. On the way to the school, I had my mind set on my top choice and didn’t care to learn about a new one. Driving through the campus opened my eyes. The campus was absolutely beautiful! I couldn’t take my eyes away from the window. There were games being played in the fields, groups of people laughing and people simply walking around enjoying the day. I felt a strange sense that this is where I belonged. As soon as we got home, I immediately began to do my research. I learned that it was one of the most diverse Universities in the country. Being apart of dance teams in school, the Sundolls quickly caught my attention. I began to plan all the …show more content…
How do you hope to grow from this experience? I hope to contribute my enthusiasm, personality and creativity to the G3 organization. I consider myself to be a well-oriented person. I love to display my school spirit. I’ve always wanted to be the one to start the school chants! I try to keep a positive attitude at all times because you are who you are with. I also believe that you have the power to influence others. When I first came to USF I was very excited. However it wasn’t until I met my OTL that reality really hit. Maddie was so energetic and nice! She wrote me this amazing letter that sits on my desk today! She is the one that influenced me to pursue being a tour guide. I am also a creative person. I love coming up with fun ideas and creative ways to give back to our community. When I walk around campus now, I think of fun, catchy ways to remember the buildings or routes around

There are many similarities and differences found when comparing Florida State University and University of Central Florida. Despite having these differences, FSU is an overall better college. There are countless subjects to choose when comparing these schools, but the main topics I chose to focus on were the schooling overall, the people, activities, and my career. Indifference, FSU overall is statistically better. FSU is a slightly larger school with 60,767 students vs 41,226 students, given it's a larger school it's acceptance rate is much higher than UCF with a 55.4% versus 49.6%.…

I want to attend SDSU for many reasons, one being how I am a San Diego “native,”I was born in the county of San Diego and have resided here my whole life. All the experiences and knowledge I have gained has occurred in this area. Most of my family live in San Diego so by going to SDSU I will still be able to see them everyday and go to them when I need advice. I would not have to worry in adjusting to a new life or a new city. I know the roads and stores in San Diego, I have visited the SDSU campus at least once a year, for tours, sporting events or concerts.…

Thank you for considering The University of North Florida as your home for the next four years. The admissions team is very displeased to inform you that there will not be room here for you at our college. After reviewing your essay and application we were all very entertained but doubtful we would ever be able to meet you. My favorite part of your application had to be when you explained why you didn’t do very well in your Spanish three class, “I got a C- in Spanish because yo no hablo espanol.” All of us who read your application got a kick out of that.…

FIT accomplishes all these things as a school and is the best environment for me to thrive in and be successful during college. This experience helped me feel more confident in my decision to apply to this university and I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. I also visited with a recruiter to talk about my course options and went on a guided tour of the university. I realized that I was over worrying about whether I would be accepted or not, and I have learned that sometimes it’s good to just let things fall into place on their own. Overall, if I would have told my seventeen year old self that I would be taking these steps in forwarding my life, I never would have believed…
