Improved Essays
I will apply the tips that I learned about in the Read section in order to successfully complete my assignments in a timely manner. My ability to be a critical thinker, communicate well with others, and being great with time time-management will allow me to successfully complete my assignments (Chamber, 2016). I have made the decision to dedicate a few hours every night to work on my homework. By doing this, I have been able to stay ahead of the course deadlines. As long as I follow the system that Bethel University has in place, I will have no issues completing my homework in a proficient and timely manner. I most definitely will use the resources that I have available to me in V-Camp.

The sciences have been central to my life ever since I was a child. My mother is a veterinarian and my father a mechanical engineer. Both of my parents attended Tuskegee University and always pushed for me to consider HBCU’s for my education. STEM careers and education are promoted heavily in Huntsville, my hometown, as major tech companies and government entities such as NASA and Missile Defense are located there. I ventured out my senior year and took courses dealing with social sciences, both in my high school and at a nearby university.…

For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to attend North Dakota State University. My dad and sister are NDSU alumni, so furthering my education where they did provides us with a unique bond. Additionally, not many of my relatives attended college, allowing me to see the difficulties in providing for oneself and family without a college degree. Although I know the next seven years are going to be challenging, extremely strenuous, and will push me to the edge of my comfort zone, the satisfaction of administering medical services to those who need them will make it worthwhile. Not only will I be able to care for others with a Pharm.…

I am a first-generation Latina student at The Ohio State University. Being from inner city Toledo, Ohio, I attended a public district where 80% of students received free or reduced lunch and the graduation rate was at an all time low of 49%. My parents had not graduated high school, therefore once college applications became relevant, they unfortunately could not help me. Through 25 different scholarships, I was able to attend OSU without any loans and truly believed I was on the right track to achieving the "American Dream". To my dismay, once classes began, I was lost.…

I began my educational journey at Georgia State University as an enthusiastic pre-medicine major with a very unrealistic goal of taking on the world. I told myself I would sacrifice anything to become a doctor, including accepting the possibility of never having children due to how hard it would be for me to spend quality time with them. I constantly worried about the finances required for my education, if my parents had the necessary funds to pay their bills, and much more. As far as my academic performance, I was never satisfied with my science grade point average. I felt inferior to my classmates who seemed to absorb and comprehend information at a faster rate in comparison to me.…
