World-peace. Tranquility. Equality. Is it all wishful thinking? It is possible to have these traits in our hectic world? In a one word answer, yes. It is achievable, but only if we dare to do what only our hearts know is right. Being the change you wish to see in the world is doing whatever action you want to see instead of watching and being angry at nothing happening. This is an imperative asset that needs to be actived in our world today. Although there are countless ways to do this, there are 3 in particular that need to be focused on. These are acting on what you want to do, being a positive role model in both your own life and other’s lives, and daring to be different even in the midst of it not being popular.

Personally, I have stood up to bullies when I have seen them being mean to others. But when it comes to them being aggressive towards me, I never stand up as much as in the situation before. Why is that? Well, according to “8 unknown facts about bullying” by Sherri Gordon from www.verywell.com, a site that posts lesser known facts about so called “common topics,” those “victimized by bullying often do not even report it.” They are scared that if they report it, there will be repercussions after. For everyone’s overall wellbeing, be a role model and stand up to situations when the action is needed.
Daring to be different can be nerve-wracking. Others may disrespect your freedom to convey your own thoughts and actions freely. But if we really want to do the right thing in our hearts, then we do. Do you what you know is right, not what is popular or common.
