These employees where new hires in the positions of merchandiser, sales representative, and backup helpers. I would supervise these employees mostly on “ride alongs” where they could experience on the job training. On the job training consisted of myself delivering effective training practices (company sales practices, safety, applying superior customer service, using effective communication, understanding contracts, and working positively with teammates) for which the employees could learn and apply practices within the field. I would supervise their actions, address issues right away, and evaluate them verbally and by written forms.
8. Describe your experience in an academic setting.
My experience in an academic setting is in a student capacity. I have been selected as team lead in three class projects which allowed me to gain a leadership role within the academic setting. Having a leadership role within an academic setting allowed me to gain experience working in an academic setting and has led me to want to find employment in an academic setting.
