Personal Statement: The Social Security Administration

Currently, the Social Security Administration tells me that my normal retirement age is 67 years old. Based on average life expectancy, I plan to retire at 70 years old. By then I expect my savings income will be at 80% and more of the pre-retirement income to live comfortable or a same life style as prior to retirement life. I still have many more years to work but without a good health, I would not be able to enjoy my retirement life. My mother became terminally ill 1 year before her retirement. I stopped my higher education plan and worked less to care for my mother until she passed. I also have a few friends who early retired to be a caregiver of their parents. The right time to retire varies from person to person based of health of individual
