I believe that Teach for America would provide me with a great opportunity to give back to those who are coming from underprivileged communities. Having come from a family that struggled with money, I feel as if I would be well equipped to understand the lives of my students and be able to help them with more than just their studies. I want to provide my students with a role model to whom they can look up and help lead them on a path that will broaden their horizons, ultimately changing their lives for the better. Because nobody in my family had ever been to college before, there was nobody upon whom I could call for advice.
