Stay Strong

Walking in a world where you can’t find a place to belong. You feel lost, broken, pain. You hide every problem behind a smile no one detecting problem. On the outside you keep it together, not showing weakness. “I have to stay strong”, you say. “I’ll make it on my own”, when on the inside all you want is someone to come around and notice your brokenness. You want someone special in your life, but you’re too afraid that when that special person comes along you will block them out. Keep them at a distance because you’re afraid that you’ll just break them because you don’t deserve the love and care from someone special. The only thing you deserve is the crumbs from the leftovers of the people that look down on you. You don’t

You are injured, treated like you don’t deserve to walk this earth, lost the love of your life because it’s not the right time now. You take ibuprofen to lose the pain of your shin splints so you can take the time to heal. You know too much of the pain relievers is bad for you but you take more than you should. The more and more you take the more you get confused and forget why you are taking it. “It relives physical pain, maybe it’ll relieve emotional pain for a while”, as you take five in less than three hours. You sit down after you take it to play your game but you can’t because your hands are shaking too much. You try watching tv but you don’t know what’s going on cause you can’t think. For once in your life you feel free of pain, guilt, brokenness. Your heart begins beating faster and faster than slows down to a point of feeling like you are about to crash. It started out as an innocent thing to ease pain but you start to take more and more. You start to wonder if you can end it now. All your pain and struggle will be gone. After all. Who would notice when all you are is an empty shadow. Invisible for all the world. “I have to stay strong.” I say as my whole world comes crashing down. “I have to stay
