My goal is to create a specific fitness routine that I can follow every week and make it into a habit and part of my life style. I would also like to lose ten pounds over the next six weeks, or at least turn that fat into muscle. Part of my goal is to start walking and jogging at least two times a week for a total of about three hours per a week. I am also going to include a weight lifting portion where I do resistance training at least once a week. I already eat pretty healthy but I would like be more active and create a well balanced healthy lifestyle that will be sustainable for a long time to come.

After losing my job I was very stressed out and unhappy. This has given me the motivation and opportunity to get back in shape and relieve my stress in the most positive ways possible. Losing my job was probably for the best thing for me seeing as the job disrupted my circadian rhythm, allowed me to get no exercise and it demanded that I sit stationary at a desk for eight hours a day. I used to listen to a lot of podcasts at work and now I look forward to working out so that I can listen to those same podcast that I love so much.
When I am working out my body naturally wants me to eat more often and more healthy. Instead of one large meal a day I eat smaller snacks to maintain my blood sugar levels and give me a steady supply of energy throughout the day. In addition, when being active my body naturally wants to eat healthier. Do you ever crave a crappy McDonald’s hamburger after working out? Not I, my body tells me I want broccoli, rice and a nice piece of steak; or asparagus, mashed potatoes and chicken. My diet has changed dramatically (for the positive) since losing my job and starting this program.
