Personal Statement: Single Parent Home

I live with my mother, my sister, and my grandmother. We live in a single parent home, where the main source of income is my mother's. Although she has a degree, her lack of proficiency in English makes it rather difficult for her to find a higher paying job. I have been working since I was fifteen, making sure I was one less expense, assuring my family's financial stability. Money is scarce, and I do not have a support system in order for me to afford today's high university tuitions. I am a very driven and diligent individual, who, due to his financial circumstances, has been limited and therefore, hindered at reaching his full potential academically.
