Naming is a form of identity in which we become our own person. In doing so, we let the world know different aspects of our personality and who we excel to be. No person has the same opinions and decisions of how life works out. Milkman, Sunday Man, and Not Doctor Street are symbolizing how they want to stand out. Macon Dead’s mother was caught breastfeeding him at an older age, forming him to become Milkman.…
A name is a title. It is the first thing seen when starting a new paper, starting a new opportunity. A name is what describes a person even when the person is unknown. A name is of such significance, because a name could simply be all a person has. Names are something that could never possibly be taken from someone.…
I realize now that it’s not just my name but I’ve also realized that it is just my name. I respond to it, even though it’s just a mix of different sounds coming out of someone’s mouth. I’ve never really given any thought to the fact that that happens to…
I prefer if you call me Chris. I love to have fun, I’m very adventurous, friendly and outgoing. Though I enjoy going out, I also enjoy being alone. I work in a BPO and I talk to people all day, every day.…
I would make a great addition to the NTHS, National Technical Honor Society, because I am a reliable and devoted student who focuses deeply on my education, along with helping others. By helping the warren community while representing CPC, Career Preparation Center, this offers an opportunity for me to participate on selfless activities, while working together with my peers. I believe by joining the NTHS, I am opening myself to more grateful chapters in my life because I stay proactive to any task I am given. I especially enjoy working in a society that applies a strong leadership and vision to strengthen the community on a global scale.…
Over 6.5 billion people in the world today and who knows how many you share a name with. Our world consists of thousands of languages and numerous cultures, resulting in an innumerable amount of possibilities for names. Something that I do well is fixing and repairing cars. My dad is a mechanic, so during the summer I work at his auto repair shop and help him with any work that needs to be done. Granted I cannot fix every problem a car can have, but I can do jobs such as oil changes, brake jobs, tire changes, and perform diagnostics. I thought it was important to know basic car maintenance skills in case of an emergency, so I decided to work at my dad’s auto repair shop to learn new information about cars. Something that I like most about myself is my positive outlook on life.…
Our name is a title which we are given from birth, and it also reflects our reputation throughout our lives. All of our decisions and actions have a direct impact on our name. Such as in the play The Crucible by Arthur Miller the value of a name versus the value of the truth is compared. Some villagers in Salem Massachusetts are accused of being witches and in association with the devil. The people who were accused were all innocent but they would confess to avoid being hung for denying that they associated with the devil.…
Well, it’s my middle name shorten down, Gabrielle. My parents nicknamed me Gabbie since I loved to talk as a child. I was a real chatterbox back then, and I’m still very social! Using my nickname just feels more natural to me, but using my real name doesn’t bother me as much as it used to…
Since I can remember, I have always dreamt of a career in the business field. This was influenced by what I had been witnessing all throughout my youth. Growing up as the daughter of a European chef and business owner, I have always been surrounded by the complexities, challenges, and excitement of the food industry. It allowed me to observe the functionality a successful business, and has lead me to become involved in our family-owned business, Main Street Grille, as a server, and later as an Assistant Manager, where I carried out more administrative work. Through this work experience, I gained more insight on all aspects of running a business.…
I love being my own sarcastic, sassy, smart, and extremely opinionated self. Self love lets me appreciate the person I, myself, am. Others can recognize my true colors without having to struggle so much to fit in. My personality is super outgoing and at times childish, but who does not have an inner child in them? Others people's needs come before mine, and I love a fantastic challenge.…
