Self Assessment Essay

While taking the self-assessment I already knew what my strongest points were, but I confirmed that that I’m excellent at accepting personal responsibility, discovering self-motivation, adopting lifelong learning, and believing in myself. I scored higher in these areas because I’m all about the future, bettering myself, learning, and goals. I take anything that I do seriously from school, work, personal life and everything else in between. With that being said I am on who takes responsibility for what I do rather it’s good or bad. If I take the responsibility for something that is bad I will move on, but learning something new from that experience. Self-Motivation to me is key to being successful at everything you do. I think my low scores are accurate because I answered them truthfully. The score that surprised me was my mastering self-management score which added up to a 44. I would’ve thought that area would’ve been one of the highest, but when thinking about it and readying the “Interpreting you scores” the score that I got was accurate. People always ask me if you had to improve one thing about yourself what it would be. I always reply I am human and I have not reached perfection nor success. Being human I will never be perfect and as long as I keep dreaming and setting goals I will not reach success. I want to improve everything about myself because no matter how old you are, you can still improve, leave, reach your goal and set another. Writing has changed my perspective on various aspects of my life. Some of the essays that I have written in the past have opened doors to new ideas. These essays have helped me make connections I feel I never would have made without writing. I believe this is because I enter my deepest level of concentration when I write. This heightened level of concentration I reach when writing has allowed me to reflect on important areas in my life such as self-awareness and motivation.…

Keeping my three personal and professional goals realistic, I would have to say a personal goal is to finish school at SNHU with a 3.0 GPA or above. I think a way for me to accomplish this goal is to stay focused on the tasks at hand, maintain a good relationship with my advisors and to utilize some of the tutoring options that are available to me as a student. Another personal goal is to work on myself, mentally. I cannot be a good mom or wife when I have the stress, anxiety and depression that I do. A way to help accomplish this goal is to not only start speaking with a psychiatrist (first appointment is August 4th) but to also have my thyroid checked.…

Society has set a standard for high school graduates to complete their education through attendance of a university. Personally I aimed to fulfill that standard by attending the second largest university in the state. When applying to the University of Central Florida, applicants were given the opportunity to prove to the reader that they are a respectable, independent, and well-rounded student in around 500 words or less. Which, because there is so much to talk about yet we are restricted by the limited word count, can be a strain for some students. I was determined to make the most out of my opportunity and deliver the best essay to the University.…

If I work hard enough and intelligent enough, I know that I will ultimately achieve what I want. My score showed that I was “very internal.” I believe the results to be true because I can be very lazy in everything I do. When I put my mind to something and try my best and change my attitude I become the best.…

Possible selves are the future self that someone wants to become. These perceptions govern our actions, motivation, and help to reach our goals. While there has been research on middle income people and their selves, Shawna Lee and Daphna Oyserman decided to test the possible selves of low income mothers and what strategies they use to achieve their selves. The main point of this study is that typically low income mothers think of their possible selves as being breadwinners and their to be avoid self was not making ends meet and failing their family.…

Final Exam: Self Evaluation Essay I personally can say that I have seen an improvement in my writing since my initial evaluation in the middle of the semester. During my first evaluation I was very confused with many of the general concepts the class held and it reflected in my writing. Answering the questions presented in the midterm evaluation and reviewing my first writing assignment Meta commentary pushed me to try to grasp a better understanding of assignments and ask for more helpful feedback that would benefit me in developing writing especially in the concept of methods and organization. Slowly and surely as the rest of the semester progressed forward I saw an improvement in my writing style and content.…

Self-Evaluation Essay Little did I know that I was going to learn a lot more than I thought throughout the semester in ENGL 1433. I began the course dreading reading and writing. I just wanted to be done with the class before the class began and go back to science classes. Despite these initial thoughts and preconceived notions, I did, for the most part, enjoy the class.…

My personality assessment told me that I have an ISFJ, meaning I have a strong preference of introversion over extraversion, a slight preference of sensing over intuition, a moderate preference of feeling over thinking, and a moderate preference of judging over perceiving. According to the Education Planner online learning style quiz, I am a visual learner. Based on my personality type speaking with Larry would be difficult for me because I have a very introverted personality. However if I was in Jane’s place then I would feel obligated to talk to Larry about how his bonus plan is only beneficial to Samuel and James and how it is negatively impacting the other employees. Before speaking with Larry I would create a survey to give to all of the…
